Job Description
East Coast Wind (ECW) is seeking skilled and motivated Wind Turbine Technicians to support various wind energy projects across Quebec and the Maritime provinces.
Depending on project requirements, the Wind Turbine Technician may be assigned to preventive and corrective maintenance activities, construction support, commissioning, inspections, troubleshooting, or other technical services related to wind turbine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines and associated equipment.
- Support wind turbine construction, installation, commissioning, and related activities as required.
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, component replacement, and general technical work.
- Follow work instructions, technical procedures, and manufacturer requirements.
- Complete required service reports, inspection forms, and project documentation.
- Work safely at heights and in various weather and site conditions.
- Comply with ECW and client Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other team members.
- Travel to different wind farm locations based on project needs.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Experience in wind turbine maintenance, construction, mechanical, electrical, or a related technical field is an asset.
- GWO training and relevant wind industry certifications are considered assets.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Quebec and the Maritime provinces and work flexible schedules or rotations depending on project requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, professionalism, and quality workmanship.
- Bilingual is an Asset
